Talking about books and the stories that move me has always been a passion of mine. Literature has the power to not only show us that we are not alone in this world but allows us to envision different routes for our future(s). In these reviews you can find everything from science writing, memoirs, poetry, science-fiction, literary fiction and the occasional romance.

Out of a certain fatigue with dominant narratives I aspire to pay attention to those whose histories have been sidelined or pushed to the margins – you will find as few old-white-men as possible (and as many as necessary), US-centric narratives (yes, even when it comes to diasporic fiction writing and liberation-centered non-fiction.

But fear not, in the absence of the voices we have collectively become so attuned to that they seem like the norm, other voices will always shine.
